Maybe everyone else will find this as funny as me

Okay. So I was at Les Miserables just now, just got home actually. Great, excellent play. Anyway. I had front row tickets which meant I sat right in front of the orchestra drop pit and the stage. Which, needless to say, was an awesome experience in its own.

Anywho. So during intermission I'm sitting there writting a few things down for quick reference when my little brother started asking me 'What's a baffle vox?' It took about 20 tries before I said 'Okay...wtf is a baffle vox' and leaned over the railing to look unto where the orchestra pit was.

Sure enough, plain as day, there was a little tupperware dish seated upon a huge equipment box, and written upon it in blue sharpie was "Baffle vox + *Drums* PINS"
Actually, it looked more like this:

Baffle
Vox
+
*Drums*
PINS

In anycase, it was written on the tupperware. So it took me a minute before asking one of the guys who was playing the drums what the hell a baffle vox is.

"A baffle what?"

"Baffle vox. It is sitting right there. It says 'baffle vox' on it."

"Baffle box?"

"No...vox...as in V-O-X."

"Oh...V-O-X. That's pronounced 'voice'."

"Whatever. What is it?"

"Well, this here is a baffle." *taps the wall divider that helps to mellow the sound of the percussion from the rest of the orchestra*

"Oh...okay...I guess..."

*turns to other percussionist* "Do you know what a baffle vox is?"

"Look guys. It is sitting right there in a little tupperware container on top of your equipment."

"Oh...I can see what she's talking about. It looks like it's filled with cough drops."

And that was when I just laughed and gave up. It was enough for me.

Baffle vox + *Drums* PINS is rather blatently obviously.... cough drops.
