Oct. 26th, 2007 02:11 pmAfter much thought and talking, I'm going to leave this svita with fake fur for some time. At first I thought I would just replace it with real fur, but in reality, I don't think the couch cover svita is great, so I will at least wear it until I can make a really nice red wool svita with bear fur lining and trim. It might cost a lot, but it will be worth it.
The svita should be finished shortly. I will update with pictures once I finish sewing on the rest of the fur lining and such. It almost looks very mongolian, but in reality, Russia shared a lot of things with the asian sector of society. They did a lot of training and probably shared a bit of their fashions back and forth. In any case, I plan to wear it to the baronial pot luck this weekend, even if it is going to be indoors. I'm not sure if I will wear the zapona or the navershnik, yet.
Either way, pictures updates coming soon. I will also be making a journal for just SCA related things shortly.
