Devil Into Hell
Nov. 3rd, 2008 11:33 amI am officially happy enough with this to paste it up for the world to see:
Stuff The Devil Into Hell
Written by the infamous Katrusha the Skomorokh
Third Day, Tenth Story from the Decameron to the tune of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
A simple girl named Alibech was only just fourteen
She did not know of men nor of the good folks religion
One day she fancied to learn to serve God, the force unseen
Holy men would teach her when she got to Thebes
Deserts in Thebes
Holy men would teach her when she got to Thebes
She met a monk who worried he could not fulfill her quest
Instead of sending her away, he found himself quite blessed
He took her into his own cell, his piousness he'd test
She had traveled far but found monk Rustico
Monk Rustico
She had traveled far but found monk Rustico.
That night as she lay sleeping a war reigned within his head
Lord God fought with debauchery and then turned tail and fled
Defeated by the enemy his eyes turned towards her bed
He would teach her how to serve God and himself
Pleasure himself
He would teach her how to serve God and himself.
“Do as I do,” said Rustico to dear young Alibech
Down on her knees she listened to him, nude up to her neck
“Nothing pleases God more than to keep the devil in check.
The Lord God ordained the devil into hell
Right into hell
The Lord God ordained the devil into hell.”
The poor young girl soon saw the devil grow betwixt his thighs
She felt quite blessed to not have one, but she was soon surprised
The pit of hell was betwixt hers, it lay there in disguise
She would learn to stuff the devil into hell
Right into hell
She would learn to stuff the devil into hell.
(**)
For days and nights and weeks and months Alibech did this deed
And there were days and nights and weeks that it felt like a need
Poor Rustico could barely stand, good things he did exceed
Soon the devil was not needed back in hell,
Back into hell
Soon the devil was not needed back in hell.
God rest ye merry gentles, now pay heed to what I say
Those of you in need of God's grace will do this right away
It is accepted by him and will please you night or day
Take the time to stuff the devil into hell
Back into hell
Take the time to stuff the devil into hell
(**)
(Next two verses are extraneous verses that can be taken away or added at will)
“The Lord God has sent you here for salvation of my soul.
This devil torments me each day, I'm sure that is his goal.
But see as his head hangs in shame from that pit you control
Help me stuff this devil right back into hell,
Back into hell
Help me stuff this devil right back into hell.”
“My goodness, father, yes I'll help, do everything I should
I have this pit of hell on me, so maybe if I could
Help release you from all this pain, I hope you know I would.
Teach me how to place that devil into hell
Back into hell
Teach me how to place that devil into hell.”

Nov. 3rd, 2008 02:32 pmAs much as I enjoy NaNoWriMo, I've decided that I would like to do something like this again... but with a different media.
My ideas:
A cookie a day for a month. How much fun it would be to learn and try 30 different recipes to see what I like and enjoy!
A picture a day for a month. Any media, just as long as it is artwork.
Exercise every day for a month. And chart my progress. No cheating!
Reading... can I do a book a day for a month? No. But I can actually sit down and spend all of my spare time reading for a month instead of watching bad movies.
Bad movies! One a month! And to talk about each one.
Sewing! Or, at least, finish/start a project every day. Either knitting, spinning, sewing, whatever. I have so much I want to do.
I'm sure there are more things I would like to concentrate on for a month. Ha. Maybe some day I will quit my job and just make money with my hobbies.

Nov. 3rd, 2008 05:07 pmI'm going to try and give my snake his first fuzzie. Yay!!
Edit: Yay! He ate it without a problem at all. And this is a good thing because fuzzies are so much better for him than pinkies are. They have more nutrients. I was worried he wouldn't be able to eat them, though. So I'm ever so happy due to this.
Before I know it, my little boy will be all grown up and eating whole adult mice. *sighs* They grow so fast.
