Just got the nicest gift from a good friend. he gave my husband and I a huge box of various different games. Granted, we already own about 4-5 of them, but there is probably about 10-15 games there and some of them are games I really enjoy and kept wanting to pick up.

It was a nice surprise on a very nice day. It was good seeing friends again.

I am highly considering this posting:

http://albany.craigslist.org/reo/978175363.html

Would people still visit me if I lived 25 minutes from Troy? If I had a separate building near my stables that will be stuffed with sheep and llamas for hosting spinny, an animal free room? If I set up lots of archery targets? had plenty of room for dogs to roam? Had a separate, certified kitchen that people could bake in and then sell their wares? Put a yurt in the middle of the woods for anyone to summer at? Held bardic in the summer months now and then?

My question is, is it too far for people or would people still come and play games and hang out with me if I did move here?

Into the maddness. )

It is all about house buying. More or less, me trying to rationalize why I want what I want and if it is good for me and trying to understand more about why I get excited even though I know I will be disappointed. This exercise was mostly a learning experience for me because I am hoping everything I wrote here, when looked back on in a few weeks or months or whenever we find the house we want, will offer some insight for me and help me decide if it is really the place I want or the place I need.

After two huge explosions (and I mean HUGE! Chris ran up from upstairs and was afraid something catastrophic had happened to me) we realized that the root beer Chris made me for Christmas exploded. Not all of it, we found out as one more huge explosion nearly blew the top off the plastic tub.

We managed to get them outside so that if anything else explodes, it does so outside and stops spraying glass shrapnel through the house. And we managed to pick through the bottles and put the few that were still okay into a new plastic tub and left them outside. Hopefully the freezing will make them LESS scary. Maybe not drinkable, but at least a slow freezing break instead of explosions.

Chris isn't sure where exactly he went wrong. But suffice to say, I probably wont be drinking rootbeer again any time soon.
